My husband is primarily a Spanish speaker. He had right leg surgery and needed to spend the night in the hospital. He had 3 anxiety attacks while I was there. This was new to him and it made him very scared. When the day nurse asked for anxiety meds, they were denied. When he found out I needed to leave, he started to cry. I stayed to talk to the night nurse. I explained everything to Mariann. She was very compassionate and understanding. She demonstrated a disciplined focus on the situation and called the doctor right away. She was able to get him anxiety meds for the evening and oral pain meds. She explained everything to him and was customer-obsessed with making sure he felt safe. My husband told me she answered the call light promptly and she stayed with him and made him tea. She made him feel comfortable. Overall, we were very happy with the care that Marianne gave him, and she continuously earned our trust.
