One day, while Joey was Head Nurse the ED was particularly busy. There was a lady in the ED and her husband at the bedside. She had suffered a miscarriage. The couple was from Africa and were members of a very unique religion that had very specific and strict burial rules. Joey went above and beyond for this family. He contacted funeral homes and ended up in contact with the State of Arkansas to make sure that this family could get their child the burial that would be in correlation with their religious values. He did this all while being the Head Nurse and managing the ED that day. The family's wishes were able to be provided, thanks to Joey.
