What can I say about Vicki Tori Moore? The superlatives used, fail to describe her as the selfless, loving, dedicated person she is; and the skilled caring nurse she continues to be.
Tori goes out of her way to make her patients comfortable and eases their anxiety with her wit and humor each day regardless of how she is feeling or what she is going through.
A patient stated, "She utilized humor combined with compassion as she interacted. The way she resonated optimism was like sunshine beckoning on a cloudy day. Tori has the gift of nursing that made me feel like I was her sole patient."
Over the past two years, Tori has done a phenomenal job in our Interventional Radiology Department. Tori has single-handedly worked in IR, long hours every day, taking every single on-call shift, and showing up the next day on time, if not early with a smile on her face. What Tori has done to ensure the staffing integrity of our department and the safety of our patients during a time of need and in a pandemic, nonetheless, is something to be commended for.
Tori was able to accomplish all that, as the only nurse in the IR department for a few months. She did not take one day off, canceled her vacations, fell asleep at the dinner table from sheer exhaustion, and missed precious family time, all so she can assure the wellbeing of our patients and so her co-workers can count on her help.
To Tori,
On behalf of the leadership team, the Radiologists, and the IR Department, we thank you from the bottom of our hearts. We are sincerely appreciative of all you've done and continue to do for us in Radiology.
