We were fortunate enough to be in the care of Melinda Navarrete-Flores after my son's surgery. Moments after she entered the room it was clear that she had a unique and admirable approach to her profession! Not only did Mel seem to bring sunshine into the room with her positive attitude, but she also did not hesitate to immediately start caring for my son as she received his latest stats. Mel demonstrated an elevated level of care in absolutely everything she did for him. Nothing was just routine or because she had to. It was evident that what she did was because she wanted to - because she cared beyond just doing her job. It felt in every action Mel took to help care for my son. It is evident that Mel embodies a nurse that cares beyond measure and demonstrates that consistently in every aspect of patient and family care. Mel's heart is in her work and it shows through and through! She has made a difference that we will never forget and forever be grateful for!
