There was a patient who was terrified of starting dialysis. The patient was so scared she didn't even want to start. I spoke to Pricilla and told her a new patient was starting and that she just needs to do what she does every day with every patient. Special instructions are not needed for Priscilla. The new patient started her dialysis as scheduled. Pricilla took the patient to the back and treated her like she was family. Pricilla sat at the chairside, explained what's about to happen, and introduced the team to her. Not one step was taken without explaining what was going to happen, Pricilla wanted the patient to feel comfortable and prepared. I checked on the patient during treatment and each time the patient told me that her nurse Pricilla and her team had taken the best care of her.
