It is with great honor to announce Khine Thazin as a DAISY Award recipient for 2020. Khine exemplifies the criteria of the DAISY Award and has been recognized by the family of a patient as a "top-notch nurse":
Khine has been my father's nurse for 2 days in a row now. Not only is she informative, great at educating, and easy to ask questions of, but she is also so kind, empathetic, and humorous. Her attentive and compassionate care of my father reinforces my opinion of Kaiser's ability to create an impressive team of health care professionals that meet the needs of their patients with knowledge, compassion, and amazing teamwork. Bravo, Kaiser, for hiring such competent and compassionate nurses, and thank you, Khine for your amazing care of my father. You are a top-notch nurse and we have been fortunate to have you.

This truly captures the essence of Khine's character. Khine transferred to SSC KP in May 2019 and from day one, she has demonstrated these gifted qualities. Not only is Khine an excellent bedside nurse, but she also extends her passion for nursing to many committees to help us take our care to the next level. Khine is an active participant in our DQC, a measureventionist, and performs as RIHC as well. It has been an honor and pleasure working with Khine. On behalf of myself, her peers, and our patients, congratulations and thank you Khine for choosing this profession; you make a difference!
