In the midst of COVID, Veronica Victorero was one of the many nurses going home to home to care for COVID patients in the community. In addition to her daily visits, Veronica was also asked to be trained as Interim Clinical Coordinator as the then Clinical Coordinator was preparing for leave. Veronica was trained remotely and continued to commit to patient care. After returning onsite at the hospital, Veronica continued to grow as a leader and resource for both therapy and nursing staff.
A co-worker took it upon himself to recognize Veronica for all of her hard work and dedication to the team, which started an email thread about Veronica. Below are words about Veronica from this email thread.
" I just wanted to recognize Veronica, I have had several instances trying to coordinate PT and SN POC specifically with wound care needs. She has been absolutely amazing coordinating everything to make sure everything continues to go smoothly including calling the Doctors and following up with individual team members. When you are in the field, you have no idea how much that means and helps to support the team as well as she does! We are so blessed to have Veronica! Thanks again as always for all of your hard work!"
"Veronica is a great clinical coordinator. When case managers were off and I needed help from a nurse, just send her an email and she'll respond right away. I had several instances that I needed a nurse while I'm with the patient. She would guide you on what to do and she would even call MD. She would schedule a nurse visit if needed to assess the patient. It's a big help for me as a PT that I can leave my patient with peace of mind knowing that somebody will be following up with the patient once I leave the house. Thank you Veronica.
