Kind, engaged, and always willing to go above and beyond, Jenna Chamberlain is a perfect choice for the DAISY Award.
Jenna has routinely exhibited compassion and support to her patients during her preceptorship and throughout her clinical experiences. From comforting parents of an infant with a 104-degree temperature to gaining the trust of a patient after a successful code, Jenna's goal is always to make her patients feel supported and cared for.
She has learned that sometimes all a patient needs is a comfortable moment of conservation and that support and information go a long way. She wants her patients to have good outcomes, and for that to occur, she takes the time to know their stories and ensure they feel heard. This humanistic approach comes so naturally to Jenna; it allows her to dig deep into her critical thinking skills to navigate health issues while also making the patient feel like they were her own family member. Jenna is a fantastic addition to the nursing profession.
