Eleni has overcome great personal hardship while in the CCCSON program and has succeeded despite these obstacles. In addition to work and school commitments, Eleni has been an active voice in student government as a member of the Student Nurses Association (SNA) at Malcolm X College. She has mentored students in her community through virtual panel discussions with local high school students interested in pursuing healthcare careers or other forms of higher education.

During these virtual panel discussions, Eleni spoke about her experiences in the nursing program at Malcolm X College and encouraged the students to continue and pursue higher education. She has been forthcoming in sharing her personal struggles and experiences and discussed with students how she was able to persevere in a rigorous nursing program. The aforementioned are only surpassed by her caring nature and compassion for others. Eleni is passionate, hardworking, efficient, and personable. She continues to serve as a mentor in her community and demonstrates the role of a compassionate nursing leader.
