I am a Chaplain. I came to MICU to spend time with one of our dying covid patients who was actively dying. Andrea Harris was with the patient, and she chose to sit down at the patient's bedside and hold his hand for about 30 minutes. I was witnessing this act of love for a patient who would die alone and without family present.
As I was standing by the glass doors on the outside of the room, Andrea was sitting with this patient singing Amazing Grace for the entire time. I was touched by her true devotion and love for the patient.
