My experience with Paige was from the outset and now, four weeks later, exceptional.
It is with pleasure that I submit this DAISY Nomination highlighting the excellence of Paige Wiers. I was a patient cared for by Paige for a minor nasal Mohs procedure closure, but my story goes beyond myself.
A very close girlfriend planned to undergo a mastectomy the following week after my procedure. I had several questions about the mastectomy and the reconstruction effort that would follow. Paige was highly professional and respectful of my need to know albeit this information was not for me but for my friend. She understood that my interest was intended to best support my friend. Her description of the procedure, challenges, and outlook for the procedures was factual and informative. Her ability to translate the information in a caring and professional manner during an incredibly busy office day was so appreciated. I am confident that this was her day-to-day style, and I wanted to take the opportunity to thank her more formally.

I am the aforementioned friend of the above patient references. My experience with Paige was from the outset and now, four weeks later, exceptional. Among all the Northwestern Medical staff I have dealt with since my breast cancer diagnosis this year, Paige stands out. She has spent many hours with me via MyChart and by phone answering each and every question I have. She excels at clarifying and explaining procedures, addressing not just the "hows" but the "whys." When Paige does not have an answer to a question she tells me when and with whom she will follow up to get the answer. She responds incredibly promptly to concerns I raise via MyChart; when I send her a message, I know I will get a reply in a most timely manner. This speaks volumes about both her professionalism and her dedication to her patients. At times I have found navigating the challenges of breast cancer, mastectomy, and reconstruction overwhelming; during those times Paige has been accessible, informative, reassuring, and calming. She is an exemplary nurse.
