My fiancé came to UPMC Mercy to have surgery. We went through the pre-op process and the surgery smoothly. He was taken to the PACU for recovery. There, I met his amazing and very caring Nurse, Jessica Taub. She had my fiancé laughing and made sure he was comfortable. As the hours went on, Jess kept checking for rooms for us, knowing how long we had been waiting. When it was mentioned that due to my fiancé being placed in a double room, I would not be allowed to stay overnight with him. Jess offered that I stay the night at her place. I have never met such a genuine, honest, and caring Nurse as Jess. I hope if we ever have to come back to UPMC Mercy, we get the pleasure of having Jess as a Nurse.
