Kathy Griggs has been with the hospital since it was built. She has been essential to creating an atmosphere where superior service is not just a goal, it is a standard. Kathy leads by example to engrain the same expectations in others. Her daily mission is to look out for the best interest of our patients and to wow them with an extraordinary experience. Kathy defines service excellence. She is a patient advocate and works tirelessly to ensure that every detail is taken care of before a patient arrives for surgery. Many patients will never know the lengths that she goes to for them.
In addition, Kathy is the person that you can always count on when you need help. For example, she is the “IV Queen”. When you can’t start an IV, everyone knows that Kathy will gladly stop what she is doing to ensure that patients do not endure unnecessary sticks. She puts the needs of others ahead of her own.
