The birth of our daughter happened so fast! My wife went into the OB office to have her weekly NST testing completed. Next thing you know, she was being taken to L&D to be “evaluated” which abruptly turned into – this is happening today, right now!
While I was all over the place, nervous, anxious and a little scared, our nurse Stephanie was cool under pressure. She commanded the room and re-assured us that we were in the very best hands, and we were!
After our baby was delivered, they watched her closely in the nursery to make certain her blood sugar and oxygen levels stayed in good standings. All the while, Stephanie made certain we were well informed on the baby’s status while caring for mom too. Stephanie even stayed past shift change to help with making sure we had everything we needed since all the day’s events happened so fast.
Stephanie went way above her “job description” to ensure we had all we needed for a wonderful delivery and hospital stay. She went above and beyond without complaint while we asked a million questions as we are first time parents. Having a baby, 4 weeks early during a pandemic is a lot to process, but Stephanie was our calm during the storm. We could not have imagined this experience going any better.
