I honestly feel so blessed and lucky to have had Bailey as my nurse
I have always been terrified of labor and delivery even before I conceived! Being pregnant with my first baby during COVID had been extra stressful, as I was going to deliver during COVID. My water broke early so I was already extra nervous when admitted for labor and delivery. I had always worried about being induced and had hoped that would not be necessary however it was. Pitocin was started overnight, and when I awoke, Bailey Pittman had come on shift. I honestly feel so blessed and lucky to have had Bailey as my nurse, and truly feel my experience would not have been as wonderful and calm without her!
Despite my BP constantly dropping, which resulted in my baby's heart rate dropping, I was able to remain calm due to Bailey's level of professionalism and excellent caring nature. Bailey was excellent at answering all my questions and addressing any concerns all while doing so in a manner that made me feel I was in excellent hands and kept me calm. Even when twice I had staff rush in to get me on my hands and knees to get baby's heart rate back up, I didn't feel panicked in the moment because Bailey would calmly explain everything to me. She was very patient with me asking the same questions over and over and never made me feel bad about doing so.
When it came time to push, she did an amazing job of explaining exactly what to do in perfect detail! I never could have imagined how excited and calm I actually felt at that moment, given how scared I was to give birth the whole pregnancy!
Looking back, I can say I had so many positive moments during labor, despite some scares of maybe needing a c-section or vacuum/forceps. Those positive moments were all due to the beyond-perfect care Bailey gave. She was beyond a nurse, felt more like a friend, and I was truly blessed she was my nurse and so glad I went through all of labor and delivery with her help, guidance, and support!
