Anthony Morrison is an extraordinary leader who genuinely cares about patient care and nurses. He is always going above and beyond for patient care and his nurses. He is well known and well respected throughout MICU and the hospital. He always has the same cheerful demeanor whether he is charging, charging and taking patients, or using his wiz skill for staffing and scheduling. We love him!
One of our pharmacist wrote that Anthony is conscientious and caring both towards the patients and their families. He was part of my nursing staff when I was a patient in the ICU. He was absolutely wonderful. I know how busy nurses are and he made me feel that taking care of my needs was the only thing on his agenda. I will never forget his kind and caring manner at a difficult time in my life. It is rare that we get to see a fellow employee as both a co-worker and a medical provider and it is equally wonderful in both roles and fills the Methodist Mission.
MICU's RN Residents wrote how Anthony cultivates a family and team environment. He is our biggest advocate. He is an invaluable resource to all the MICU staff and makes sure we feel empowered as nurses. Not only will Anthony lend you a helping hand, but he is more than happy to explain any and all concepts with you until you understand and feel comfortable with any patient assignment that you have.
Anthony is a valuable and trusted mentor. Anthony motivates us to expand their knowledge. He encourages each of us to grow as a nurses and expand out practice whether that means going back to school, exploring a leadership position, or taking a Methodist class. He promotes professional advancement by encouraging us to join AACN.
Ask anyone on the floor, Anthony is everyone's favorite go to nurse. Everyone knows this nice guy not just nurses, but also EVS, Lab, RT, etc. and without a doubt his name will pop up as their go to person as well.
