My daughter, at 22 years old and unmarried, went into labor. She and the baby's father had decided not to tell anyone they were giving the baby up for adoption. As a mother, it broke my heart to think of my daughter going through such an event alone. She kept the pregnancy a secret and it wasn't until she was in labor that she decided to keep her sweet baby boy. I had no idea what was going on until after the baby was born.
God placed Heather Baugh in the delivery room with my daughter. She took excellent care of her, prayed with her, consoled her, and was there for her in all the ways I would have been and wish I had been.
They saw God's hand on them and this entire experience. My daughter’s son was born as a healthy 8 pound 10 ounce perfect little gift from God. They decided they could not in any way give him up for adoption. Heather helped my daughter navigate the feelings of fear, guilt, shame, and embarrassment. Heather prayed with her and for her and the baby.
Heather took care of my daughter medically, emotionally, and physically. I can never thank her enough for being with my daughter on one of the most important and scariest days of her life.
My grandson is a perfect little blessing from God and he has changed our lives for the better already. Heather was a definite Godsend and she is surely doing the work God intends her to do.
