The empathy, kindness, grit, and resilience Leah has shown has truly been outstanding.
When COVID first began to impact our community, our local team saw the need to cohort our patients at our Larpenteur dialysis facility. In part because of location, the physical plant, but mostly because of our outstanding team of caregivers. Leah, the charge RN at our facility took a lead role throughout the COVID pandemic, working tirelessly to take care of our patients in the only COVID-cohort center in the twin cities – and over the past year has taken care of hundreds of patients affected by this deadly virus, often not knowing what to expect or how many new patients she would take each day. The empathy, kindness, grit, and resilience she has shown has truly been outstanding. Whether it was unexpected long hours, or managing transportation issues and communication with doctors, hospitals, and nursing homes, or just being there for her team when they needed support, Leah has demonstrated our caring behaviors and is a role model within our Village.
