I remember you, Louise, specifically because as my daughter was passing, you sat in the corner and cried as hard as I did.
I've seen a few of these and thought I'd give it a chance. My baby was born in early December and died within a day of DIC. Born in Whittier Presbyterian Hospital. I was super young at the time and probably looked like a little kid. I couldn't remember the name of the NICU nurse that took care of her, but by the time I went back 4 years later for my second child she had left the NICU.
I remember you, Louise, specifically because as my daughter was passing, you sat in the corner and cried as hard as I did. After her passing you made me feel safe handing her to you and I could feel how much you cared for her. You were incredibly caring and kind. If you find this, I've always wanted to tell you thank you, because of you I enrolled in LVN school six months later to become a nurse. I've worked in Peds my whole career with the idea that if I could give parents the comfort you gave me then I'm paying it forward. I'm currently working on my RN with the hopes of being a NICU nurse one day. You've helped me find a career I truly love and have always held a special place in my heart. Thank you.
