It was so emotional to have our precious baby hurt and we were so blessed to have Cathy come in and be able to calm her down just by talking and being a pro.
My granddaughter was brought into the Emergency Department with a cut above her eye. She fell at school and hit her head on playground equipment steps. Needless to say, she was very scared about having the stitches and IV. She was very upset and hysterical when the first nurse tried to put the IV in but couldn't find her little veins. My granddaughter was screaming and very emotional.
Cathy Pruitt came in and calmed her down and was able to get the IV with no problem. She was so calm and reassuring to us that my granddaughter didn't cry or scream and didn't need to hold her arm down. It was so emotional to have our precious baby hurt and we were so blessed to have Cathy come in and be able to calm her down just by talking and being a pro. 16 stitches later, we can say that although an IV and stitches were not in our plan for the day, because of Cathy it turned out to be a blessing with her on duty!
