I have been coming to Riverside my whole life. Over the last six months, I have been very, very sick. After being so sick I finally had surgery and my nurse took excellent care of me. In fact, I requested her on every shift she worked. Her name is Grace McFarlane, and she has been a Riverside nurse for years. I have "never" met a nurse, (let alone just a person), with this much patience and love, and how she demonstrated so much compassion for me.
Grace came to my side as quickly as possible when I hit the call bell. She is an "extraordinary" nurse/person. She is very nurturing and compassionate and goes out of her way to care for me, (and others too I am sure). She is very soft-spoken and nice, no matter how much pain, stress or pressure is around.
Her clinical skills are very obvious, and she should be recognized for her kind, loving, compassionate, nurturing, patience, knowledge, and remarkable wonder woman nurse/person that she is. Because of her care, I am truly recovering very well, slowly but after what I have been through it's amazing and it is because of Grace!
