Andrea Santos goes above and beyond to provide care to her patients. She demonstrates patience, empathy, and compassion at all times. She makes her patients her first priority and always takes the time to make sure that they are comfortable and taken care of. Andrea is an amazing mentor. I have learned so much from her as she has tried to find a way to create a learning opportunity each time I have worked with her. I feel that Andrea is a great asset to not only our patients but as a role model for future nurses like me.

I recall a time when Andrea was taking care of a patient who became very anxious and started experiencing shortness of breath. Even though the respiratory therapist came to take over, Andrea remained with the patient to provide her reassurance which in turn helped her to remain calm. Once the patient became stabilized she expressed immense gratitude to Andrea for just staying by her side.

I have observed Andrea demonstrate excellence every time I have worked with her. She is always willing to help other staff members and is continually asking if anyone needs anything. I feel that I could always go to her if I ever need any help and she would be very willing. Andrea is always doing something for our patients or helping someone take care of our patients. She takes her job seriously and enjoys being a nurse!

In addition to patient care, Andrea shows a commitment to the Gaylord community by demonstrating teamwork, being a great mentor, and a great co-worker. She goes above and beyond every day to be sure the patients are being provided with safe and effective care not only by her but by everyone on the team. She is always willing to listen to any concerns or questions from the patients and will not stop until she finds an answer or a solution. Andrea has demonstrated selflessness on multiple occasions and is truly committed to Gaylord and her patients.
