Janine Sullivan was a fantastic support system for me on my breastfeeding journey while my son was in the NICU. Each day Janine was at work she spent a great amount of time with us to ensure we were successful with latching and production. We were determined to ensure my "dud" produced enough milk to nourish my child and we succeeded!
Although I'm not a first-time breastfeeding momma, Janine taught me a thing or two and showed me how to properly use a shield to ensure success. She was a great support system for me while I was there with my son and was an even more amazing cheerleader from a production standpoint! She even sat and held conversations with my husband while he visited which reflected her kindness and caring.
We discussed a multitude of different topics besides breastfeeding and she was extremely knowledgeable and supportive. The icing on the cake was when she came in on the day of my son's discharge, even on her day off, to ensure my son has a preemie fleece footed pajama to come home in; I couldn't find preemie fleece onesies in stores! Janine deserves to be recognized for going the extra mile and she truly demonstrates the desire to help and support mothers on their breastfeeding journey.
