Our DAISY is someone who is constantly wanting to expand her knowledge and will ask questions to learn more and to assist her with her patient care. She shows care and compassion with everything that she does for her patients, as well as her peers., always going above and beyond. A fine example of this, is explained by one of her co-workers:
On a night that can only be described as mayhem, with many confused patients, and many needs, our DAISY came in merely to print off forms. What she noticed was that the OB nurse, who had a full med-surg assignment, had to care for a newly admitted OB patient. Instead of going home, she immediately changed into scrubs and covered for the OB nurse until she returned from the OR with her patient. A trip into work that should have taken only 30 minutes became seven hours, and it is selfless acts like these that make me so happy to be part of this team.
And it is a selfless act such as this that make us proud to have Chelsea Ilsley here as our DAISY!
