My mother underwent a significant fusion with much irrigation and nerve decompression. She was struggling in multiple ways post-op and not doing very well and experiencing sleep apnea. There was much concern that went past 7pm, when Hannah was scheduled to be off her shift.
Hannah was kind, caring, skilled, and gentle in how she worked with my mom and us as a family. Even more, at 7pm when she was off shift, we needed to call ICU for a consult. She made sure to stay to communicate directly with ICU staff and her next Nurse, Debbie. Hannah not only stayed to make sure all the complicated and voluminous case information was shared directly, she stayed longer to help transport my mom.
I know it is so tricky because people need to leave when their shift is up, yet it is so clear that Hannah stayed to give the very best care in all ways to my mom. We are grateful for Nurses like Hannah and Debbie and their skill, care, commitment, and more. Amazing!
