I brought my son into the Emergency Department because he had a very bad laceration to his finger; so bad that I thought he would lose the top of his finger. My son was very upset. Carrie Wilson was his Nurse. Carrie got on the bed with him and talked to him and found a phone for him to look at videos on, which took his attention off his finger and on to other things. She sat on the bed and talked with him. Carrie went above and beyond and made not only my son comfortable, but she also was concerned about me and made me calm.
Carrie turned a bad situation into a very good one. She was able to multi-task so well by assisting the Doctor with the laceration repair and keeping my son and me calm.
This was the most pleasant experience a person can ask for in an emergency room. Carrie is very kind, compassionate, but also very competent which also calmed us both down. It means so much when people do more than necessary or expected. Thank you so much Carrie.
