Aja went out of her way constantly. She was never in a hurry, answered all my questions, sometimes twice just to be sure I understood. I was discharged the second day of the one visitor rule. My husband suffers from mild dementia; he wanted to come with our son to take me home. Aja set everything up and went as far as not having anyone come in the hospital. She got the discharge time and gave my son directions to the door he should come to. She asked me to hit the call button and she would be right there, she then called him and gave him directions to the proper door. He called when he got there and she got me into the wheelchair and got me downstairs and took me to the car where my son and husband were waiting. For all her kindness and consideration, I believe she deserves the DAISY Award. You are fortunate to have her.
In addition to the above, she was my daytime nurse - always caring and helpful. I asked many questions about my condition and what to expect, etc. and she answered them all. She managed to see to it that my Rx thru pharmacy was delivered to my room in time for my discharge (she had about one hour to manage that during the lunchtime rush). When the call bell rang, Aja was there in record time. Kept me situated in bed and meeting all my needs. She is an angel of mercy. If ever I have to be hospitalized I hope I am fortunate enough to have her.
