Hassan is a truly joyful and positive person. This has such an inspirational effect on his colleagues and the ward on each shift he works. He shows care by always asking everyone how they are and actually stopping to truly listen! Hassan has established a great rapport with the medical team members and collaborates well with them in planning and implementing family-centered care.
Hassan is supportive to his colleagues on shift, continuously offering assistance and being the 'customer service champion' when families have concerns or require reassurance. I have observed Hassan delivering parent education and he is a skilled teacher! He targets his information to the families' needs and provides a comfortable and safe learning environment to promote the best outcome. He will always ensure he has time to answer questions, use check-back and ensure patient and family understanding.
Hassan is what we call on 6A our 'customer service champion'. His professional, approachable, friendly attitude is easily apparent to everyone he meets. He shows compassion and empathy by being an active listener and by taking time to communicate effectively with colleagues, patients, and families. As a male pediatric nurse, I'm sure he has met many challenges in his career in Sidra, but he has never faltered in his dedication and desire to ensure that all his patients and families are happy with the care he provides.
