Yesterday was the worst day of my life when I was told my husband didn’t have long to live. We’ve been married for 56 years, soon approaching 57. Upon hearing this news, I fluctuated from hysterical crying to anger and O’Daysia listened with compassion and patience and always replied, “I understand.” After I met with Dr. A, O’Daysia came back to offer me more support. Her shift was over, and we were waiting forever for transport. In her own free time, she wheeled my husband back to his room as she felt such compassion and sympathy for us.
