Melissa is forever the first person to jump up and help. She has assisted me numerous times with administering pediatric immunizations and being a champion of safety to ensure the proper immunizations are given to the correct patient. She goes above and beyond for each one of her coworkers and is the first to answer a call light, grab an EKG, administer injections, or room patients. She greets each patient with a warm smile and a friendly hello and makes our pediatric population at ease with each of their visits with her demeanor and strength in both skill and knowledge. Just today she has reviewed a patient chart with me, consulted a pediatrician on my behalf about a patient that is not her own, made a little girl’s 5th birthday extra special even though she had to come to the doctor’s office, placed a PPD on an adult patient in between rooming her own, and educated me on new charting protocols. She is without a doubt an asset to our department, and we are so very lucky to have her.
