On Sunday I suffered a severe panic attack. I am a woman of prayer and believe God sent me to Mercy and the most amazing soul was my nurse, Joe Menotti. Joe deserves the Nobel prize for the care I am sure he gives every patient. He was so calming with me as I literally fought to stay alive. I have a long list of medical problems, but Joe saw me as a human being and displayed such kindness in every interaction he had with me. Being that we are in the midst of a global pandemic and that a man like him earned my trust so easily is such a blessing to me. I know I am going through a lot, but I am inspired and remain super hopeful that frontline workers like Joe go above and beyond to heal beyond the physical body and get the recognition they deserve.
