Thank you for your patience will all of my questions, I will forever be thankful for your kindness and support during this trying time.
The Covid pandemic has impacted all staff in all areas of the hospital in so many different ways. Nurses are being asked to share their expertise with other nurses to better care for the potential influx of patients. As a Pre-op/PACU nurse, I have limited experience with patients on a ventilator and was feeling a lot of anxiety when I learned that I was going to be caring for patients on a ventilator in the near future.
I had the opportunity to go to ICU for 4 hours to learn how to care for a patient on a ventilator. The nurse was warm, welcoming, and extremely knowledgeable. She explained things in a way that I could understand made me feel so much better about caring for these patients. Thank you for your patience will all of my questions, I will forever be thankful for your kindness and support during this trying time.
