My son was life-lined to Lutheran after an accident resulting in skull fractures and traumatic brain injury. Crystal was in the ER trauma room helping to stabilize K (for 3 hours). She was a familiar face going from ER to PICU which we appreciated. Crystal was thorough, prompt, answered our never-ending questions, and helped us understand next steps in K’s care. She never left the room without asking if there was anything my husband or myself needed. Once he was extubated, she offered to take my son for a walk outside -- twice! This was a huge deal for K because he LOVES to be outside and you couldn’t wipe the smile off of his face. Crystal also had Dilly Bars brought in after she overheard him saying they were his favorite.
