This is a Nurse who goes far and beyond her job description to ensure our patients are cared for with compassion & respect.
In my opinion, Sonia is an extraordinary Nurse and coworker. She is the embodiment of integrity and Jean Watson's Caring Theory. She is selfless, compassionate, and a team player. She will try her hardest to accommodate everyone, patients and staff members
included. If she is knowledgeable in an area she will undoubtedly offer her assistance and in cases where she isn't, she will gain the required knowledge to help others out.
Such was evident with the recent visit from JCAHO. She worked tirelessly to ensure the unit was compliant with all measures in order to pass the inspection. She is always willing to help and will answer her phone at any time of the day or night. She deserves this award and I am delighted to nominate her. This is a Nurse

This a Detox RN who goes far and beyond her RN responsibilities. She always looks for staff for the unit. She holds documents for staff
to sign off, if they have forgotten to document or sign their name. Sonia did an amazing job here on detox when the Joint Commission came. We were all proud of how she represented the unit. Sonia ensures that we are all under the new and updated
documents now present on the unit and given to all patients. Sonia deserves the DAISY award because she exemplifies what a team leader of Excellence looks like!
