My husband was a surgery patient. He does not do pain well. He was hurting so bad he was moaning, couldn’t lay in bed, and nothing helped. Myleesia and a student with her stood by his bed for as long as it took to help him get in control of himself. Finally, after about 45 minutes Myleesia had the doctor’s approval to give him stronger medication. As soon as he was better, she took him for a walk. He nor I have ever had a nurse care about their patient like she did. Myleesia is awesome. She never once acted like she was thinking he was a silly man who can't take pain or in any way made us feel like we were detaining her from her other patients or in any way not the most important person in her care. Myleesia will be forever in our hearts and we both feel she loves her work and she will be going higher in her career. Please thank her for us. She deserves this DAISY Award!
