I remember the patient tearing up and telling Cassidee “thank you for everything".
I have had the pleasure of working with Cassidee and seeing, first hand, the special connections she makes with her patients. I recently took care of a patient who specifically requested if Cassidee was working so she could thank her for going above and beyond to help this patient.
All day this patient kept raving about how kind and caring Cassidee was. Then, today, I assisted Cassidee when her patient was having an episode of chest pain. She was very responsive to her patient’s needs and was amazing at calming her patient as interventions were carried out. I remember the patient tearing up and telling Cassidee “thank you for everything and talking me through such a scary time. It really makes me feel like a human being and not just somebody sitting in a bed. They are so lucky to have someone like you working here. You are such a great nurse”.
That patient truly summed up the type of nurse Cassidee is. Every time I had the pleasure of working with her, she has a smile and brings a great sense of humor to the team. Clearly, she makes a great impact on her patients and deserves to be recognized for her kind heart and compassionate nature – things that make a nurse incredible and can’t be taught.
