Abigail has a wonderful bedside manner.
In addition to performing her job at a commendable level, Abigail demonstrates an extraordinary commitment to DaVita South Philadelphia as well as to the region. Abigail takes initiative to provide exceptional support to the patients, teammates, and FA. She assesses quickly, individual needs, and she moves swiftly, yet cautiously, to provide key information and recommendations to those on her team. Abigail encourages and exemplifies the virtue of good citizenship of the village. She continuously touches and enriches the lives of all she comes in contact with. I particularly admire how she continues to grow in her role, takes initiative, and how she demonstrates dedication to the overall mission and purpose of DaVita. Her tenacious spirit has earned her this DAISY Award. Abigail has a strong skill set both soft and hard skills. She adds tremendous value to DaVita. She exudes passion for her work, and she is gracious, humble, dependable, and courteous. Going above and beyond for the patients, is her norm. Abigail has a wonderful bedside manner, and it shows through the continuous thanks patients would give her all the time and speak to me day in and day out about how Abigail makes them feel. She would spend extra time just sitting and talking with them. This often meant that she would stay later once her daily RN duties were complete to make sure our patients' care was a top priority. I have observed her deliverables as intelligence, vision, tact, leadership, decisiveness, accountability, and responsibility. She treats others with respect and dignity, and she is empathetic to both staff and patients. In 2020, Abigail established a renewed and reinvigorated spirit of community; the DaVita way, and without hesitation, Abigail is highly deserving of this DAISY Award.
