Renee drove two hours each way daily to ensure that this patient received the training needed to get home!
Renee is the Home Clinical Coordinator at our Appleseed Home Dialysis location. She exhibits strong leadership skills to both the direct team she works with and to the region on a daily basis. Renee is the type of teammate that puts the team first and foremost, leading by example to create a culture of service excellence. She has a true GSD spirit, always jumping in to lend a hand. While speaking to an FA in her region, he noted that her calm demeanor and smile are infectious.
While in an extreme staffing crunch recently, the team was unsure how they would not only be able to manage the current home patient population but also still provide patients the ability to train for their modality of choice. Without a second thought, Renee was there. She not only took on coverage of the patients but was insistent on doing a lengthy HHD training to get the patient home since that is where he wanted to be. Renee drove two hours each way daily to ensure that this patient received the training needed to get home! Recently she jumped into action again when a need arose in Michigan for HHD assistance – without a second thought, she is there to support her team in any way possible. There are countless examples of the positive ripples she spreads throughout our village and beyond. I cannot think of a more deserving teammate for this type of recognition.
