The time Nurse Katherine took made the world of difference.
We appreciate the wonderful work of Nurse Rufo and her kindness and support to me and my husband. We had been in the hospital for multiple days with just a couple of hours of sleep. When we were ready for discharge, our newborn daughter's blood tests came back abnormal twice. My husband and I felt like we had done everything the doctors and nurses asked of us. I thought it was my fault because I was breastfeeding.
Nurse Katherine took the time to listen to me and explained the process because I was going to be discharged but not my daughter. I was overwhelmed, crying, and extremely emotional. The time Nurse Katherine took made the world of difference. I have met a lot of nurses because I work in a hospital. Nurse Katherine is really good, I felt she understood my frustration and she tried to help me. She is really professional and compassionate too. Patients need this type of nurse when they are in stressful situations. It may be a simple comment but to us it is everything.
