Debbie is consistent, reliable, and is always willing to go the extra mile for her patients.
There are a lot of nurses in this building that are far deserving of the DAISY Award. One that sticks out to me at this moment is Deborah Gibson. Debbie never falters when it comes to the care of her patients. Debbie has worked here for over 25 years. She has been a nurse for 30+. I have had the privilege to be a part of her journey for many of those years.
Debbie is consistent, reliable, and is always willing to go the extra mile for her patients. She takes her time, educates, and leads by example. She's compassionate, a team player, and is always willing to educate those that may not know what to do during a scenario.
She comes to work, ready to care for her patients, sometimes after a long night with her own sickness or for caring for her ailing mother, without letting others know that she may not be rested. She places her patients first, advocates for them, and does so willingly and readily. Debbie is far deserving, dedicated to MCE and our community, and brings that with each day that she works. I have learned a lot from her and continue to do so.

Deborah Gibson is a great employee and a great leader. She has been a great asset to the Med Surg area and is always prompt and on time. Her total effort goes into making sure her patients are well taken care of and are safe. She is a true leader and always attempts to help and teach others. Debra is a model nurse for all to follow.
