Mackenzie advocated for our daughter’s development and well-being because she knew her so well and cared so much.
This DAISY nomination is extremely important to me because I am certain there is no better nurse at Saint Luke’s than Mackenzie. She was one of the best things that happened to us in the NICU and she has truly earned this nomination. Our daughter was born early and we spent many weeks in the NICU. Many of those days were spent with Mackenzie because she was the primary nurse for our daughter. The truth is, the impact that she has had on our lives is truly immeasurable. There were so many random acts of kindness that I will treasure for the rest of my life that she probably didn’t think twice about before doing.

Mackenzie was extremely professional and represented Saint Luke’s in the best possible way. Her bedside manner was exceptional as well. She holds herself and her team with a ton of respect. She is extremely knowledgeable in her profession and it shows through her work. She treated our daughter as if she were her own child. There were COUNTLESS times Mackenzie advocated for our daughter’s development and well-being because she knew her so well and cared so much.

We will forever have a positive memory of Saint Luke’s because of Mackenzie. My daughter, husband and I will always love her and I will share with my daughter what a great nurse she had at Saint Luke’s. I want to publicly thank Mackenzie for all of her hard work and dedication to the NICU; there is no one more deserving of receiving the DAISY Award.
