On 8/20/20, I was very honored to witness a Nurse Practitioner reading scripture to a 97-year-old patient. Donna was in doing her rounds on the patient for the day, and previously the patient was having difficulty breathing. Donna is always phenomenal with her patients and their needs but this went above and beyond. Before leaving the room, Donna asked if there was any scripture that she wanted her to read for her. The patient stated Psalm 96. Donna without hesitation turned the patient's Bible to Psalm 96 and read the entire scripture to her. The patient instantly seemed more relaxed and was so grateful for this gesture. I was very thankful to be in the room with her at this time. Acts like this make me so glad to be a part of this organization and to work alongside such a wonderful Nurse Practitioner.
