Sini injected through my port too skillfully that I never felt any pain.
This Sunday will be my last chemotherapy session. I had a total of 16 chemotherapy sessions and in all my sessions this nurse was there with me. From starting till the end of all my chemo sessions, Sini has given me confidence and positivity due to which I was never fearful. Still, I remember on my first chemo session it was a port installation, she came and explained with love about the session. That day, I liked the loving approach of all the doctors and nurses which made my first chemo session to go easily.
Sini injected through my port too skillfully that I never felt any pain. She was writing all the drug references in my chemo diary. I was not aware, I have to use a cooling cap for therapy. She with the help of another nurse, wet my hair and moisturized, and put a cooling cap on me. Too much heat was eliminated from my body, but I enjoyed cooling cap happily.
Though at times of Covid, I was never scared of being in the hospital, though was scared outside (public). All the staff’s behavior was responsible and timely managed towards me. Her behavior toward me and my family is appreciable. Though there were times, when the unit was very busy with lots of workloads, she always cared and considered me. And because of all these reasons, I would like to get rid of cancer as soon as possible and I know I can do it. There should be nurses like her in all the hospitals so that patients can recover as soon as possible.
May God bless you and make your entire wish come true. I have never spent such a long journey with any other nurse, which is why I never realized the importance of a nurse before. With her, I was able to complete all my chemotherapy sessions with jokes, laughter, and sleep. I was a bit worried about AC chemo, but she educated me on how and which medications to be taken, which took all my fear away. When my eyebrows started to shed, she told me to use an eyebrow pencil and I started doing that which helped me gain confidence in myself.
I have lots of things to write more about. Once again, I would like to thank this nurse for all the help throughout all sessions. This relationship is more beyond the patient and nurse relationship. I have respect for this bond that we have. And I will always remember this nurse.
