Her director calls her an outstanding nurse with a heart of gold and a work ethic to match. She shared that Rhodes demonstrated those character traits through her care involving a recently diagnosed cancer patient. This person had been otherwise healthy, so he and his family were not prepared for the prognosis. Along with performing her Care Management duties, Rhodes went out of her way and gave of her time to make sure the patient and his family understood the care plan. She was empathetic and selfless with her time, listening skills, and willingness to help the family grieve in advance of their father’s passing. She championed the efforts of this family to ensure the plan was carried out across every point of connection and care with the patient and his family.
