Ami always presents each day to SMC with a positive attitude and demeanor.
Being short a nurse in IR and in Infusion and exhausting all efforts to supplement, I had asked the staffing office of float availability. There was one float in particular that I requested and was confident could fill our staffing needs. Ami was scheduled and she had given the contrast in the past when she had accompanied her patients to Radiology but never actually worked in the department or was accustomed to the department routine.

Ami floated to our department without batting an eye with her consistent warm smile and collaborative demeanor. She said she was actually excited to work in CT and was comfortable with us providing her a quick orientation to the department and knowing we were there for resources and mentors. Ami is a quick learner and maintains a confident approach to each and every assignment to ensure it is safe and enjoyable. There was never apprehension or negativity. She was such a breath of fresh air and such a joy to work with. Ami worked with us from 7a-3p then had to switch gears and head to another unit to fill a staffing need till 7p. It takes a special person to come to work each and every day throughout this pandemic knowing she will be with Covid positive patients for her entire shift. She makes it seem easy. She also provides them with the reassurance that, “It's all going to be okay, and we are here to help.”

She is reliable and accountable. She is loyal and dedicated. Ami always presents each day to SMC with a positive attitude and demeanor. She loves floating and making patients’ hospitalization a positive experience through her safe and high-quality approach. She goes above and beyond for each and every patient assignment. She is a resource and support for her multidiscipline peers. She is the nurse I want my family to be cared by.

Ami has a special approach that alleviates fear and apprehension even in the worst scenarios. She is a dedicated patient and family advocate. She ensures safe discharges are arranged and that the patients and families all understand the plan. She greets each assignment with determination and poise. Ami's ability to adapt to fast-paced hospital operations is unmatched. She never seems to get flustered or distracted. Her approach is always focused on patient-centered care. Samaritan is lucky to have Ami on our team. Thank you, Ami, for all you do and the manner in which you do it.
