Working at the Family Birth Center gives us the privilege of sharing joy with families every day. Unfortunately, some pregnancies don’t end as anticipated which brings grief and great sadness. We always try to help the mother and her family with empathy and kindness. Connie Colley has taken the resources we have available to help these families to a whole new level. She has spent many hours meeting with the SEH Foundation who have given us contributions to buy supplies needed and she has met with people in the community so that we can help those affected with referrals and introductions. Much of this work was done on Connie’s own time. Connie’s work will bring great comfort to those affected by loss and to staff who are helping them.
