Katie Dillon is an incredible patient and parent advocate. She works with medically complicated patients in Aerodigestive and Trach and Vent Clinics. Even with many diagnoses, medications, and procedures, she continues to remember the details of my child’s care. At each appointment, she sits down and looks us both in the eyes to sincerely ask how we are doing. Her compassion and thoughtfulness go a long way with a mom who often feels overlooked in the world of special needs parenting.

Recently my son needed two outpatient procedures. We were reluctant to do them during COVID. Katie helped me schedule them back-to-back on the same day so we would only need one visit to the hospital. The fact that she took over his care coordination saved me time and energy. She willingly went above and beyond for me. That is not the first time either. She is always smiling, always tracking down answers to questions, always managing details, and we always look forward to seeing her.

Katie works with overwhelmed parents who may not always have the ability to give her the recognition she deserves. Believe me when I say, Katie Dillon is a DAISY Nurse.
