Nomination #1: Where to start with this nurse… Andrea gave me the comfort that I really needed in someone. She knew right away how nervous I was and how upset and in pain I was. She helped me to not be afraid and to speak up about anything. She said, “Nothing is a dumb question, always remember that.” I felt extremely safe, understood, and felt free to ask or question things, and learned how to address my problem with the doctors. Once I found out about my surgery, I was extremely nervous and didn’t understand anything. Andrea took time out of her day to help me understand, step-by-step, what was being done. I truly cannot thank her enough. Andrea, thank you again for not only being my nurse but also my friend. God bless you!

Nomination #2: Today was a crazy day with lots of bed alarms going off, patients switching on and off the unit, and a rapid response, yet Andrea handled everything so well. She is so attentive and kind to her patients and I know the patients feel how much she cares for them. I just wanted to highlight her awesome and hard work. She has been such a great addition to our team and I always look forward to working with her. It was chaotic today, but Andrea was able to keep her cool and treat all of her patients with the best care! She is awesome!!
