Then God placed this nurse in our path. He was very kind and spent a great deal of time talking with me and listening to what I had to do. He gave his support and offered the facts about Dad without giving his opinion as to what to do. This nurse did share a personal story about his father which I truly felt was God leading my family and me down the best path for Dad.  As we were transitioning Dad’s care into hospice, he took his last breath. I believe with my whole heart that God wanted to make sure that this nurse was there at the end to help us. He made sure that we had time to spend with Dad without feeling rushed to leave the room. This nurse knows how to comfort others and make connections with the families during their most difficult times. He demonstrates true compassion, told us everything we needed to know, and made us feel like we were his top priority. He has a true gift to be a nurse.
