Brooke takes on any challenge, calms his Team, and gives them the confidence and support that we will make it through.
Brooke has been an absolute gift to our patients, our team, and myself. It has been a pleasure to work with Brooke over the last 15 years. He is blessed with a unique combination of dedication, work ethic, and a positive attitude. Brooke’s dedication to his patients and Team is a true blessing. He takes the time to get to know patients on a personal level and treats them like family. Brooke connects with them, cares for them, builds trust, and is an advocate for their quality of life. He is integral for the positive clinical results that we have maintained in-center. These results found us consistently in the top third of the Division, including having the best clinical outcomes for two consecutive months. These results were maintained all while expanding a PD program with the best growth in our division. He has a love for home modalities and is truly invested in helping his PD patients live their best life.
Brooke’s work ethic is incredible. I can account for months on end that he would work five to six 12 plus hour days in order to take care of our patients when we were in a bind. There has never been an instance that we needed him that he did not drop what he had and show up. I can only recall one day that Brooke has ever called in. In this particular instance, he called me from the ambulance while he was on the way to the ER with a back injury because he wanted to ensure I could find coverage for his patients and Team as soon as possible. Incidentally, he managed to make his next scheduled shift after this injury!
All of these examples are incredible, but Brooke’s greatest asset has to be his attitude. Despite working long hours and wearing whatever hat is necessary, he shows up every day with a huge smile and an infectious laugh. His patients love his sense of humor and look forward to him checking in with them daily. He takes the time to know their family and connect with what makes them happy. In a crazy ever-changing dialysis world, Brooke takes on any challenge, calms his Team, and gives them the confidence and support that we will make it through. Not only will we make it through, but we are going to laugh and have a great day!
